Formation and Development of the Scientific School of Reliability of Technically Complicated Items at the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the NAS of Belarus. Part 2: Development
Abstract
The second part examines the main stages of the development of the scientific school and the fundamental and applied results obtained, which cover the issues of understanding the essence of reliability of technically complex items (TCI), assessing and ensuring their reliability at the design stage, life expense, and monitoring and reliability diagnostics in the operation of TCI. The interdisciplinary direction “Lifetime mechanics of machines" is presented, which examines from a single point of view the problems of evaluation and provision of functional and lifetime properties of the machine and implements this approach in the appropriate principles, models and methods. New directions in the development of the scientific school related to forecasting individual item reliability are considered: dependability management based on monitoring the machine operation modes using lifetime expense models, the methodology of vibration-impulse diagnosis of gears implemented in the on-board vibration monitoring system of the motor-wheel of a mining dump truck.
