Abstract

Pa­per fe­a­tu­res ba­sic clas­si­fi­ca­tion of con­tra­cep­ti­ves ac­cor­ding to the­ir use, mo­dus ope­ran­di, and di­stri­bu­tion. Ro­le of con­tra­cep­ti­ves in re­pro­duc­tion po­li­ci­es is di­scus­sed, along­si­de with using them as to­ols of iden­tity con­struc­tion in par­ti­cu­lar so­cial and cul­tu­ral con­texts.
