This cross-sectional study was conducted to determine the correlation between osteoporosis knowledge and osteoporosis health beliefs of menopausal women. The study was conducted in cross-sectional design. The data were collected between 15 August and 15 November 2014. The population of the study consisted of women aged between 40 and 45 years registered in Veli Gunduz Sahin FHC in Mamak region of Ankara. The population of 40-45 year-old women in FHC is 5235 people. The study was completed with 335 women. A socio-demographic questionnaire, Osteoporosis Health Belief Scale (OHBS) and Osteoporosis Knowledge Test (OKT) were used for data collection. This study was conducted by face to face interview technique. In the study, Kr-20 reliability coefficient, Mann Whitney U Test Kruskal Wallis H test, One-Way Anova and Independent t test and Pearson’s Correlation were used to investigate. The following results were obtained from this study conducted to determine the effect of osteoporosis knowledge levels on osteoporosis health beliefs in women in the menopausal period. In the study, a statistically significant difference was found between the socio-demographic characteristics of women and OHBS, OHBS and their subscales. [Med-Science 2018; 7(2.000): 406-12]
