Abstract
The text is dedicated to the leading personality of the Brno School of Musicology, Jiří Fukač (1936–2002). The aim is to capture this musicological personality in its complexity, especially through the important contexts and the musicological work. The study notes Fukač's basics in the field of musicology, as well as all the important areas in which Fukač intervened during his life, and tries to evaluate his signifikance.
