The article comes back on the definition of Baelo Claudia as a strictly Roman town and advocates a properly Punico-Roman identity. The setting into evidence of that cultural hybridity enables one to recognise in the forum’s temples the typical cluster of three temples characteristic of the Punico- Roman towns of North Africa (Sufetula, Leptis Magna) and not a nondescript Capitol.
