INTERETHNIC RELATIONS IN A CONTEXT OF DIVERSITY. CASE STUDY IN CUERNAVACA

This article examines the results of qualitative and inductive research that aimed to determine, from the analytical diagnosis of a case, the influence of the school-community relationship on citizenship formation with an intercultural approach of children in a context of diversity. The research scenario is an elementary school of indigenous education located in a peripheral neighborhood of the city of Cuernavaca, Morelos and it was conducted during the years 2011-2015. The actors of this research are indigenous migrant children, children of return migrants and children of the receiving city. The educational policies of attention to cultural diversity were reviewed, as well as the practices that derive from the explicit and implicit curriculum, in the latter are inter-ethnic relations characterized by discrimination.
