Abstract

In this essay, the television programme Nascita di una dittatura (1972) is analysed. The journalistic investigation, conducted by Sergio Zavoli, deals with the subject of the advent of fascism in Italy, shedding critical light on the role of the various political actors of the time. It played an important role in establishing a moment of collective reflection on the fascist past, which was reflected in a debate on the alleged tendentiousness of the broadcast.
