Organizing the finals of the FIFA World Cup and its role in stimulating sports tourism and enhancing the national economy of the host country "FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia as a model"
Abstract
The research aims to study : The role of organizing the finals of the FIFA World Cupchampionship in stimulating sport tourism and enhancing the national economy of the host country, where the researcher used the descriptive approach in the survey method in order to suit the nature of the research, the research community was chosen from tourists and the beneficiaries of organizing the championship in Russia, as for the research sample It was randomly chosen for (80) individuals from tourists, shop owners, hotel owners, transportation and sports media in some of the cities hosting the championship events. The sample size for the basic study reached (60) individuals, and the researcher used the questionnaire form to collect the Data required, and the application of the researcher and study data processing using a program IBMSPSS Statistics )20) to obtain the following statistical treatments: percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, correlation factor "R" Pearson, alpha stability factor for Cronbach, half-stability stability factor, And testing the Ka-square (Ka-2), and the results showed regarding the general goals of organizing the finals of the World Cup soccer tournament: The tournament organization expresses the extent of mixing sport with culture and education. For athletes and designers of sports festivals, as for the results of the relationship of the organization of the FIFA World Cup tournament with the activation of sport tourism: The organization of the FIFA World Cuptournament is the biggest tourist attraction before, during and after the tournament in the long term, organizing the tournament is an opportunity for the host country to disclose what It possesses monuments and tourist attractions for the world, as well as the results related to strengthening the national economy have shown: The organization of the tournament is a key factor in investing sports facilities established to serve the tournament, the organization of the tournament contributes to the establishment of many hotels and developed housing necessary To establish the members of the joint sports missions in the tournament, and the researcher recommends all relevant parties to organize the finals of the FIFA World Cup tournament to be held in Qatar (2022), the need to apply the results of this study and work with it in order to benefit from the organization of the championship economically by activating Sports tourism and its money has a great impact in increasing the national income of the host country, so we offer you this study as a project that can guide to organize the next championship.
