PRAGMATISCHE FUNKTION(EN) EROTETISCHER SPRECHAKTE: EINE KONTRASTIVE ANALYSE ANHAND DER SERIE THE BIG BANG THEORY

Abstract

Il contributo intende proporre l’analisi pragmatica e contrastiva (tedesco-italiano) degli atti illocutivi erotetici, ossia delle domande, che spesso impongono al destinatario la formulazione di una risposta. Il corpus di riferimento è costituito da sette puntate della serie televisiva The Big Bang Theory, che sono esaminate in tedesco, in italiano e, laddove necessario, nella loro versione originale in lingua inglese. Lo studio si articola in una prima parte che offre una tassonomia degli atti linguistici, e più precisamente di quelli erotetici, e in una seconda parte in cui si propone un confronto tra l’uso e la formulazione delle domande nei dati tedeschi e in quelli italiani e un’analisi quantitativa dei tipi di atti erotetici attestati nel corpus. Pragmatic function(s) of erotetic speech acts: a contrastive analysis using the series the big bang theory The contribution proposes a pragmatic and contrastive (German-Italian) analysis of erotetic illocutive acts, i.e. questions that often require the recipient to formulate an answer. The reference corpus consists of seven episodes of the television series The Big Bang Theory, which are examined in German, Italian and, where necessary, in the original English version. The study is divided into a taxonomy of linguistic acts, and more precisely of erotetic acts, followed by a comparison between the use and formulation of questions in German and Italian and a quantitative analysis of the types of erotetic acts attested to in the corpus is proposed.
