Modern diagnostic methods for fatigue fractures: a review and analysis of available techniques
Abstract
Fatigue fractures are increasingly recognized as a common issue, particularly among athletes and individualsengaged in repetitive physical activities. Timely and accurate diagnosis of these fractures is crucial foreffective treatment and prevention of further injuries. This review explores contemporary diagnostic methodsfor fatigue fractures, evaluating the available techniques along with their advantages and limitations.The advancements in diagnostic methods have led to more precise and effective ways to identify and treatthese injuries. By gaining a comprehensive understanding of these diagnostic methods, healthcare providerscan better equip themselves with effective strategies for diagnosing and treating fatigue fractures,ultimately improving patient outcomes and reducing the risk of long-term complications. Additionally, thisreview examines the underlying causes and risk factors associated with fatigue fractures. Understandingthe contributing factors is essential for implementing preventive measures and developing comprehensivetreatment plans. Current trends and future prospects in the field of fatigue fracture diagnostics are also discussed,highlighting potential advancements and innovations that may further enhance diagnostic accuracyand effectiveness. The authors of the publication hope that the review presented below will help expandknowledge about fatigue fractures, optimize its diagnostic process and improve medical care in Poland.
