The Archaeo-Ethics conference brought together researchers from several disciplines for two days to present and analyse major ethical issues in archaeology. One of the objectives was to provide European answers to questions mainly addressed by the Anglosphere. The themes covered were the excavation of human remains, looting, relations with local communities, relations between professionals and hobbyists, tensions between scientific ethics and professional constraints, and the ideological political and religious appropriation of research results. The conference provided answers and suggested potential solutions.
