Poultry production faces numerous challenges, including infectious diseases, stress, and the need for sustainable alternatives to antibiotics. Herbal additives and probiotics have gained attention as potential immunomodulatory agents to enhance the immune response and overall health of poultry. This review highlights the current understanding of the immunomodulatory effects of dietary Cloves, Syzygium aromaticum on poultry, with a particular emphasis on the need for more molecular research to unravel the underlying mechanisms. This knowledge will facilitate the development of targeted approaches to optimize poultry health, welfare, and productivity in the face of emerging climate change and other challenges.
