Abstract
A tenebrionid species Leichenum pictum (Fabricius, 1801) from the tribe Pedinini (subtribe Leichenina) is recorded for the fauna of Belarus for the first time. In total, 56 species of Tenebrionidae are known from Belarus. The species was collected twice in June 2016 and 2017 in Gomel Region near Uza village in the sand quarry. The species is widespread in South and Central Europe on supralittoral marine and river sands. The eastern part of the range occurs Black Sea coast (Krasnodar Region, Russia), lower reaches of Kuma River (Dagestan, Russia) and Caspian depression (Astrakhan and Volgograd regions, Kalmykia, Russia). South-eastern Belarus and Voronezh Region of Russia are the northern border of the range of L. pictum. Brief information on distribution and ecology of this species is given.
