Zollmann et al. develop a multi-scale model for Ulva sp. macroalgae growth, biochemical composition, and nitrogen sequestration, regulated by temperature, light and nutrients. Their results demonstrate that this model can be used to design environmentally friendly and economically sustainable seaweed farms.
