Measurements of the production cross-section of top quark pairs using the ATLAS detector at the LHC

Abstract

An overview of several ATLAS measurements of top quark pair production in proton-proton collisions at the LHC at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV is presented. Inclusive cross-section measurements of top quark pair production in various decay channels, analyses of differential cross-sections, studies of additional jet activity in top quark pair production, as well as an analysis of top quark pair production with associated heavy flavor jets are presented. All of the measurements shown are in good agreement with the latest Standard Model predictions.
