Convenient Synthesis of Triphenylphosphine Sulfide from Sulfur and Triphenylphosphine

Abstract

Elemental sulfur (S8) was found to react very rapidly (3). Compared to the previously described methods, the present procedure constitute excellent access to triphenylphosphine sulfide.
