We present a genome assembly from a specimen of Ceratothoa steindachneri (tongue-biting isopod; Arthropoda; Malacostraca; Isopoda; Cymothoidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 3,927.82 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.71%) is scaffolded into 23 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 29.61 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 13,816 protein-coding genes.
