The elaboration of didactic materials based on theoretical assumptions of research in chemistry teaching can assist teachers in their pedagogical practice in the classroom. The aim of this work was the development of a didactic material based on conceptual change model and the discussion of its application potential in high school. Identification of students' ideas, questioning of their initial conceptions, presentation of new concepts and its application in other contexts were the parameters used for production of material. The proposal was discussed confronting it with what the specific literature addresses. Thus, it was possible to verify how the teaching material has potential to help teachers in their pedagogical action, having the possibility of having a proposal based on learning theories, of easy language and flexible to the different classroom situations.
