Anecdotes et cohérence textuelle dans un roman de Loaisel de Tréogate

Abstract

In the monographic epistolary novel of Loaisel de Tréogate Ainsi finissent les grandes passions (1788), the experiential predominates over the narrative function, the discourse over the story. However, in the letters which make up the work, there are numerous anecdotes which could be seen as marginal insertions, when in fact they as-sume a signifying function showing the essential topics, together with a structuring function, developing a net which gives co-herence to the different fragments from which the epistolary text is formed, and, at the same time, it serves as a guidance.
