In this paper, we investigate the cooperative economic operation control problem of the integrated energy system (IES) composed of a cluster of energy hubs (EHs) without continuous communication. To solve the problem, a dynamic event-triggered communication strategy and corresponding protocols are introduced. Specifically, a distributed EH output controller is designed based on the consensus algorithm. This enables accurate sharing of electricity and heat load power without requiring knowledge of network parameters. Furthermore, the control method ensures that the pressure is kept within an acceptable range and the frequency is restored to the reference value. By taking energy prices into account, the equal incremental principle is applied to develop a control method of devices to minimize the economic cost. Finally, the case studies are provided to substantiate the efficacy of the proposed control approach.
