The city of Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul - Brazil, given its specific regional and cultural, presents a range of social economy enterprises already established social groups with the most diverse possible. Nevertheless, given the fact that the number of artisanal fishermen of the locality to be relevant and require resources to survive with dignity, we tried to analyze and correlate the actions of some projects that were sympathetic to the needs of these individuals, so that it is intending to boostlocal development initiatives, on a human scale. This bias, we proceeded to an exploratory and descriptive, with the completion of observation and videotaped interviews with key actors for the elucidation of the theme in vogue. We conclude therefore that urgent initiatives to organize the fishermen, especially in regard to the generation of income to these individuals during periods of spawning, since there are numerous partnerships can make to the projects already consolidated with a view to localdevelopment and the consequent role of the community. Among such initiatives endogenous tourism activity is presented, therefore, exacerbated with the potential to develop in the region and cover the main demands of the fishermen.
