The Pavilion de la Perspective, or the Pavilion des Offices, is one of the Château de Marly’s lesser-known buildings. Yet it appears to have played a key role in the operation of “Marlys” through its multiple functions. It was initially dedicated to domestic use, with both the Bouche du Roi and Garde-Meuble services, as well as the housing for a large number of employees. The Pavilion de la Perspective was also one of the settings for receiving guests, offering apartments and rooms serving different types of refreshment and meals depending on the visitor’s rank, as well as a café and a cabaret with drinks throughout the day.
