This study aimed to analyze the adherence to hand hygiene requirements among students enrolled in a dental care study program during the academic process. The study was conducted in March 2024 at the Clinical Dental Care Cabinet of Health Care Faculty. The study group consisted of 16 students from the Dental Care study program (first and second year). A qualitative research method was applied, involving assessment of hand hygiene requirements and examination of hand antisepsis quality. During practical sessions, it was observed that students' work attire was orderly, and sleeve length complied with hygiene requirements. Most students work with long and/or lacquered nails. Students wash their hands correctly, but a small portion of students make hand antisepsis errors. Most students' knowledge meets hand hygiene requirements. Hand antiseptic irritates students' hands the most, resulting in very dry and flaky skin.
