The research aims at studying the literary efforts of Al Qusaibi within the cultural development which he earnestly sought as he believed in the necessity of building man in the society to be a productive doer، to present a successful experience for students and the forthcoming generations to help them face reality. The importance of the research is indicated by shedding light on the literature of a Saudi man of letters who created a perception of cultural development and its impact on social building and changing its paths to the best. Through his multi intellectual participations، he attempted to awaken man’s conscience and urge the society to interact with culture with its social concept. From this research، we might have concluded some theoretical researches which were far from reality and society as we want to present a development view coated with a literary garment. Through the basic question of research: How did the literature of Al Qaisibi whether in the development process in general and in the cultural development in particular? We shall try to answer through studying examples of his poetry and prose taking his novel "Al Asfouria" as a model.
