Failure as the ideal model of artistic success in late Russian Modernist culture

Abstract

The article traces the evolution of Russian modernism’s value system at different historical stages of that cultural formation, taking as an example the notion of artistic success. The modeling of artistic success through failure is considered here as a peculiar trait of late Russian modernist culture.
