Reparing a long gap Oesophageal Atresia (LGEA) using the combined procedures of foker and kimura
Abstract
Primary repair of long gap oesophagus atresia (LGEA) requires interdisciplinary expertise to achieve promising results. We report a 9 month old refugee with a spit fistula and a gastrostomy who achieved primary anastomosis in our hospital using the combined surgical methods of Kimura on the upper pouch and Foker in the lower pouch.
