the use of STS elements in teaching of sciences articulated with other fields of knowledge is an important aspect of the current science didactics. First of all, in this article, there is an approach to didactics of sciences. Likewise, the contemporary didactic models are described in relation with today’s epistemological trends. Finally, the role of didactics of knowledge is explained within the approach of Science, Technology and Society (STS), considering the nature of science.
