Optimization Research on the Traction System Changing Scheme with ETCS
Abstract
In order to meet the needs of cross-border railway transportation in Europe and improve the efficiency of cross-border railway transportation, cross-border transportation trains must not only be compatible with the railway signaling systems of various countries, but also support the changing of different traction power supply systems. In this regard, the European Train Control System (ETCS) has designed the changing process of traction systems, but there is no research on the backup operation of automatic changing. Through in-depth study on the changing information of traction system of the relevant interfaces, this paper improves the communication protocol between ETCS and TCMS (train control and management system) and the display characteristic of driver-machine interface (DMI), and optimizes the control logic of ETCS changing traction system. A scheme of ETCS changing traction system with manual changing as the backup mode is proposed. This scheme can effectively improve changing efficiency and safety of multi-system locomotive traction system equipped with ETCS system, and the ETCS system using this scheme has been successfully applied to many on-board signal systems in Czech, Hungary and other countries. At the same time, this scheme has reference significance for the research and development of regional railway signalling system in China.
