Moral judgement among students with disciplinary problems: The usage of Sociomoral Reflection Measure-Short Form Objective‟ (SRM-SFO)
Abstract
The existence of disciplinary problems among teenagers, especially secondary school students is constantly increasing. Teenagers may know what is right and what ismorally wrong, however, they do not act accordingly.Thereforeteenagers, especially students with discipline problems,facedifficulties to figure out what is the best for themselves morally. In accordance withthese facts, the main objective of this quantitative study is to assess the degree of moral judgment among students with discipline problems.The research is carried out with apurposeful sample of100 respondents. The instrumentused is adapted from the Sociomoral ReflectionMeasure -Short Form Objective(SRM-SFO)questionnaire developed by Daniel Brugman, John Gibbs and Fuller (2007).The findings findthat 96% of students with discipline problems are at an immature stageto fully understand what constitutes moral judgement.
