Mise en texte de l’histoire et de l’intertextualité littéraire : quelques exemples aux croisements des plans énonciatifs dans Le Rouge et le Noir

Abstract

The paratext of Le Rouge et le Noir can be considered as a text extension and as part of the enunciative system on which the entire novelistic construction is built on. On the one hand, the mise en texte is a place of intersection between narrative, politics and history, and on the other it is the centre of intertextuality: here the textual space of the novel must open to other writings and other fictional spaces. The enunciative plans’ mix signals the irruption of history in the narrative, at the same time it points out the irruption of intertextuality in the text. I would like to offer two examples that show the effects of this mise en texte “device” in Le Rouge et le Noir.
