ABSTRACTAs a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the “Great Resignation” that followed in the workforce, dental practices — and most employers — have experienced a shift in employee culture. Upcoming and existing generations are searching for more meaning and purpose in their employment. If dentists want to retain employees, they must help their staff find purpose in their daily activities. With purpose, the employees can arrive at work each day knowing they have the potential to make a true and meaningful impact. This article will explain how to create purpose in the dental practice to not only retain employees but create a palpable culture in which employees put their hearts and soul into what they provide for patients.
