Innovation among Latinos: Exploring Differences across Genders
Abstract
This study begins the effort to understand how cultural diversity impacts innovation. Inan attempt to assess the attitudes, opinions, and disposition of individuals with diversebackgrounds have towards innovation, a group of 781 Latino professionals were surveyed.Responses were tallied by gender to find out if there is a difference in how males and femalesin this demographic view innovation. Results show that for the most part the gendersare in alignment, but there are several important areas in which they differ. These are inhow innovation is defined, risk taking, where innovation provides the most value, and whois in the best position to initiate innovation.
