Considerations on the profile of the MAE-USP African and Afro-Brazilian collection.

Abstract

This study intends to gather not yet published data concerning the African collection of MAE-Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia (University São Paulo), relating it a to its scientific and educational utilization. It its a reflexion which grew out of our work with the collecion in the period from 1981 to 1992, with goal of giving an initial contribution to the memory of this collection to the University.
