Remaja Akhir Penggemar K-Pop: Celebrity Worship dan Self Concept

Abstract

The developing era and the existence of globalization change all aspects of life, including culture. Nowadays, foreign cultures are easily affecting other cultures in the world due to globalization. One of foreign culture which is loved by many people, especially teenagers in Indonesia, is the culture of South Korea. The purpose of this study is to discover how much the Celebrity Worship influence the Self Concept in late teens K-Pop fans. This study uses quantitative research method with a correlational design and a sampling technique using purposive sampling with the sample criteria are the late teens and K-pop fans. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with data analysis using the Pearson Correlation Test. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between Celebrity Worship and Self Concept of 0.244%.
