Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) is atypical transformation of squamos epithelium without stromal invasion predictive of cervical cancer. According to the World Health Organization (2014), there is mild cervical epithelial neoplasia (CIN I; mild dysplasia; flat warts; koilocytosis; koilocytic atypia) and moderate and severe cervical epithelial neoplasia (CIN II-III; moderate and severe dysplasia, epithelial carcinoma in situ).
