WORD-FORMATION OPPORTUNITIES OF THE LEXEME IN THE EVEN LANGUAGE

Abstract

Purpose. This article is devoted to the research of word-formation opportunities of the Even language. The subject of analysis is the lexeme екэ and suffixes that form new words. The authors’ aim is to discover word-formation opportunities of suffixes, to study ways of development of new word meanings with the lexeme екэ in the Even language. Methodology. The basis of the research is formed by the descriptive and methodological method that has allowed to characterize material in a systemic way. The structure and formal communications are investigated by means of the perspective word-formation analysis. Results. The research by means of the above-described methods has allowed to reveal word-formation possibility of suffixes in the Even language in relation to the lexeme екэ. Practical implications. The results of the research can be applied by drawing up for compiling a word-formation dictionary of the Even language that will show word-formation opportunities of suffixes.
