Bajakah tampala (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk.) is a plant that has the potential to be developed into traditional medicine. Empirically, this plant is used by the people of the interior of Central Kalimantan Province for various diseases. Based on previous research, bajakah tampala rods contain phenolic compounds, flavonoids, tannins and saponins. These substances can theoretically stimulate collagen growth and the formation of new epithelium (re-epithelialization) which shortens wound healing. But until now, scientific proof of the efficacy of wound healing in the tampala stem is still missing. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of ethanolic extract of the bajakah tampala (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk.) nn wound healing time. Research is experimental with a posttest only with control group design research design. The research method was conducted using 24 Wistar rats which were divided into 6 groups randomly. All test animals were then given cut wounds after local anesthesia. Group I wounds (normal control) were not given any treatment, group II (positive control) was given an ointment base while group III as a comparison was given povidone iodine solution. Group IV, V and VI wounds of test animals were given an ointment containing ethanolic extract of bajakah stem tampala at 10, 20 and 40%. The wound healing process is then observed both time, length and depth of the wound during the wound closure process. Research results data were then processed and analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that the ethanol extract ointment of bajakah tampala stem had an effectivity on healing wounds in male white rats. The duration of healing wounds in the area smeared with ethanol extract ointment, bajakah tampala stem 10% is relatively better when compared with the smeared extract area with a concentration of 20% and 40%. Statistical results using the ANOVA method concluded that there were significant differences in the effectiveness of antiluka (healing time) between the preparation of ethanol extract of bajakah tampala stick with povidon iodine ointment, base and normal controls.
