About the Use of Induction Generators for Micro Hydro Power Plants

Abstract

Induction machine with short circuited rotoris the simplest, robust and lowest cost electricalmachine.Existing experience regarding interconnectedwith the general electro energetic system micro hydroplants, already established the use in such cases ofsimple and economic hydro mechanical, electricitygenerating, control and automation equipment wascreated by that kind of machine. This paper illustratespossibilities of the hydro energy potential utilization forhydro power plants construction on the Bihor countyrivers , experiences on how to build and operate asmall hydropower , induction generators use andsustainable solutions for small hydropower by inBihor county, Romania.
