Concerns were raised regarding the alleged duplication of flow cytometry images in Figure 1 with images from other articles. Specifically, Figure 1E, panel U-251TMZ TMZ+H19 scramble, appears to have been duplicated with Figure 2A, panel SW480 AS-IV (10 µg/ml) from Sun et al, 2019 (https://doi.org/10.2741/4738). Figure 1G, panel M059JTMZ TMZ+H19 scramble, appears to have been duplicated with Figure 2B, panel HeLa Ctrl, from Wang et al (https://doi.org/10.3727/096504016X14685034103879). The authors did not respond to our queries and were unable to provide any original data for their study. Our decision-making was informed by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retraction. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”. This retraction relates to this paper
