21st Century Globalizers: Emerging Countries and the South-South Globalization

Abstract

Developed economies have historically determined the advance of globalization, in the context of North-North and North-South relations. In the twenty-first century, emerging nations lead globalization in the South-South axis. This study tests the applicability of the concept of “globalizer” to the case of Brazilian performance in the South.
