After a certain period of publications on a given topic, researchers feel the need to analyze them to see trends in these publications. The aim of this article is to present a meta-analysis of brazilian research based on some aspects of these productions that used notions of Advanced Mathematical Thinking in their theoretical references. For this, 21 dissertations and 5 theses were used, highlighting aspects considered important in these researches. This investigation is part of a doctoral research, which aims to analyze the different conceptions of AMT in brazilian publications. The methodology used in the analyzes follows the guidelines of the content analysis. It was found that the research is concentrated in the southeastern region and in higher education and that most of this research was empirical in character, showing the potential of this cognitive theory for the teaching and learning of mathematical concepts.
