Peculiarities of application of british measurement systems in construction and their implementation on road facilities in Ukraine

Abstract

ntroduction. The article provides an overview of international measurement systems for works and services on the example of Great Britain, the peculiarities of their application, the main advantages and disadvantages. Using the example of the Standard Method of Measurement in Civil Engineering (CESMM), the article discusses how such systems can contribute to accurate measurements, time and resource savings in road construction. The experience of applying CESMM4 on road facilities in Ukraine is also considered. Problem statement. In construction in general, the use of international measurement systems is crucial for optimizing processes and improving the quality of project implementation. According to the requirements of the modern construction sector, the ability to generate bill of quantities (BoQ) according to international standards defines a new stage in the planning and implementation of construction projects.
