El circuito agroexportador de la región histórica del lago de Maracaibo: siglos XVI al XIX
Abstract
This article highlights the importance of the Copernican change occurring at the Decade of 1980 in Venezuelan historiography with the emergence of regional studies. He is critical to the traditional historiography, characterized by historiographical centralism. Current historiography has been oriented toward the reconstruction of Venezuelan history based on the use of the concept "historical region" which allows to investigate the social and territorial whole of our past. As a case study the article focuses on the analysis of the formation and consolidation of the wearer agro-export circuit in the West of the country.
