In this article the mathematical model of the screw ripper for working with bottom sediments has presented. The analyses of the previous research works in the area of cleaning water from bottom sediments by screw ripper was performed. The kinematical parameters of the working body, physical and mechanical properties of bottom soil and design parameters of the working body were considered. Based on the developed mathematical model, which described the movement of the screw ripper, was implemented his optimal parameters. The correction factor for the design of the rational parameters for bottom soils’ extraction complex was determined.
