BASIC CURRICULUM – SYSTEM OF COMPETENCIES FOR ART EDUCATION

Abstract

The presence of arts in education is based on the creation of cultural-artistic capital, with associated positive effects, pursuing the benefi ts that art can have on the learning, teaching and evaluation of certain disciplines. The basic curriculum is to signifi cantly strengthen the training of cultural consumers and a cultural and artistic capital market at national level. Competence modeling is carried out throughout its life through continuous training, both within specialized institutions and self-refinement. The potential of arts might become a means of the spiritual cultivation of pupil’s personality, of the nation’s culture. Educating the spiritual intelligence means putting at stake the values, stimulating the process of discovering the meaning of life in pupils.
