Abstract
In diagnoses made to students of medical sciences, in the degree of health technology, difficulties were detected in the domain of written communication. The diagnosis was made to 40 students of the first year of the specialties of Dental Care and Vector Control and Surveillance, of "Dr. Zoilo Enrique Marinello Vidaurreta" Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Medical Sciences of Las Tunas. The study period ranged from September to March 2014. The following methods and techniques were used: documentary review of graduation reports, pedagogical diagnoses and surveys to students and teachers. The results of the research showed poor knowledge on the use of homophones in writing. Hence, a pamphlet was created to develop spelling skills in the use of the main homophones of the Spanish language that in their writing bear the graphemes b, v, s, c, z, x, y, ll, g, j, h. The essential elements of the pamphlet are presented.
