The topic of our paper is utopia, understood as temporally (and not spatialy) invisible, as well as its importance for thinking through what Emmanuel Levinas, inspired by Ernst Bloch, call “work” (« œuvre » in french) and what will – as we shall see – have to be distinguished from action in the proper sense of the word.
