Schooling in Prizren in the period from 1906 to 1909
Abstract
It is obvious that social development and alternate economic circumstances are basic reason for the turning point in schooling system. The care for educational side of school activity, and conceptual building of youth must have been permanent due to difficult conditions educational task were being accomplished. The lack of qualified staff of teachers, insufficient school area, and material basis are making qualitative working process more difficult, since the nature of this school activity itself requires a well-prepared staff of teachers, equipped premises and resources suitable for collective self-activity of pupils development. Deep changes being achieved in our social life are reflected to the whole school life, and educational work as well. The elaborated contents from the history of Serbian schooling Jun Prizren may contribute to the wider consideration of fight for national school, and all forms of education. All conditions for schools opening and staff competence were important for consciousness development with people, what was to be of particular importance. A wide spectrum of young generations had acquired basic education in them, out of which by further education the first popular intelligence was created, and which was the holder of people's education and cultural life development. A reinforced cultural-educational activity of Serbia gave a numerous positive results. One of the most important success is the increased number of Serbian schools. Indicating the study of schooling system in Prizren systematically and thoroughly, it is seen how the schooling in the past was an integral part of life in this area development. In this paper contributions given by some prominent traders, teachers, inhabitants are mentioned in order to help schooling in Prizren's area. Chronological understanding of the most important events and happenings contributes to the complete perspective of schools, and forms of people's education.
