Chronique d’une mort annoncée ? La municipalité ottomane de Jérusalem dans la tourmente de la Première Guerre mondiale
Abstract
In this article I analyse the role of the Ottoman municipality of Jerusalem in the wake of the First World War. By comparing the incomplete records of the municipal council with self-narratives from this period, this article examines the transformation of this urban authority between 1914 and 1917 and its action in the face of the widening sanitarian and humanitarian crisis.
