Training system and environmental education in the U. S. Antarctic Program

Abstract

In the middle of November in 2006, the author visited the McMurdo station and Dry Valley region, as an Exchange Scientist. During the field research of terrestrial ecosystem, the training system of U.S. Antarctic Program was also surveyed. Field survival camp and environmental education course were well organized and worth introducing into Japanese Antarctic Research.
